01 — Background
A respected clinic, an invisible website.

[Med Spa Client] is an established medical spa offering laser hair removal, injectables, body contouring, and skin resurfacing to a loyal, repeat client base in a competitive U.S. metro market. In the treatment room, results spoke for themselves — strong reviews, returning patients, steady word-of-mouth referrals.

Online, the story was different. The clinic's website, Google Business Profile, and ad campaigns were all running — but none of them were working together, and none of them were winning. The clinic came to Visibline wanting one thing: to turn an offline reputation into online demand they could actually see, measure, and trust.

02 — The Problem
Five quiet leaks, one real revenue problem.

Nothing was failing loudly. The business was leaking patients in five small, specific ways that added up fast — the kind of problems most med spa owners recognize instantly.

01

Buried on page two of Google

Average ranking position of 10.2 meant losing the exact searches that convert — "med spa near me," "laser hair removal," "Botox" — to competitors on page one. Click-through rate sat at 0.5%.

02

Invisible inside AI search

Patients increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews "best med spa near me" before opening a map. The clinic was almost never part of that answer.

03

Underperforming Google Business Profile

For a clinic with this review base, profile interactions — calls, directions, bookings — were well below what the market should have delivered.

04

PPC spend with no proof of return

Google Ads was live and spending, but with no call attribution, nobody could say which keyword or campaign actually produced a booked appointment.

05

Zero call attribution or tracking maturity

Calls arrived from Google Business, Ads, organic, Yelp, direct and SMS — tracked inconsistently or not at all. No trusted conversion rate. No trusted revenue number.

06

No way to define a "qualified lead"

Without attribution, the clinic had no consistent process for separating a real booking opportunity from a wrong-number call or a no-show inquiry.

03 — Our Solution
One integrated system, built around the client's goals.

Visibline's role here was guide, not hero — the clinic's reputation and patient experience always carried the win. Our job was to build the visibility and measurement system that let that reputation actually convert online, deployed in this sequence over six months:

CTM Setup Month 1

Dynamic number insertion deployed first, across every channel — Google Business, Ads, organic, direct, Yelp, SMS, social — feeding one dashboard, so every later improvement could be measured against a real baseline.

SEO Months 1–3

Full technical audit and fix pass, on-page content rebuilt around the highest-intent local procedure keywords, internal linking architecture overhaul, and Core Web Vitals fixes.

Local SEO Months 1–6

Google Business Profile optimization — category accuracy, geo-tagged photos, weekly posting cadence, proactive Q&A, review-velocity strategy, and a citation clean-up across 50+ directories.

GEO / AIO Months 2–6

Content and structured data engineered to be retrievable and citable by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and Gemini — treating AI answer engines as a real discovery channel.

PPC Months 3–6

Once CTM data existed, campaigns were rebuilt around keywords verified to convert by call data, not click volume — budget reallocated toward what was actually producing booked patients.

04 — The Transformation
What changed, metric by metric.

All figures below are rebuilt from the client's actual Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, CTM call-tracking, and AI visibility reporting — redrawn here as on-brand visuals rather than raw dashboard exports, with all identifying details removed.

CTM · Tracking Maturity

From guesswork to full attribution

The foundation everything else was measured against.

Manual
No unified tracking
16 sources
Fully attributed, 1 dashboard
This meant every one of 5,283 tracked calls could finally be traced to a channel, a keyword, and a dollar amount — instead of disappearing into a phone log no one trusted.

528 total Business Profile interactions across the 5-month window — direct evidence the map listing went from an afterthought to an active lead source.

Note: this client's Google Business Profile reporting was provided at the "total interactions" level rather than broken out by individual map-pack keyword rank or by interaction type — so those granular splits aren't claimed here.
GEO / AIO · AI Visibility

From invisible in AI answers to a Medium visibility score

The clinic now shows up where modern patients are starting their research — inside the AI engines themselves.

Spend redirected toward what actually converts

Once CTM attribution existed, the Google Ads channel itself became measurable for the first time.

Channel conversion rate
$16,635
Revenue attributed to PPC
Exact ad spend and cost-per-lead figures are excluded from this case study for confidentiality. What changed is the capability itself: budget could finally be shifted toward the 13.67%-converting channel instead of being split blindly across keywords with no return data.
05 — The Bottom Line
One dashboard. One number everyone trusts.
$92,203
Total tracked revenue, 5 months
927
Booked, qualified conversions
17.55%
Overall conversion rate
5,283
Tracked interactions, all channels
Google Business Profile alone drove 39% of all tracked calls and roughly $49,300 — over half of total attributed revenue — direct evidence that the Local SEO work didn't just move a visibility metric, it produced the single largest revenue channel in the business. Because no pre-engagement revenue figure was tracked, this is presented as a fully attributed total rather than a before/after percentage.
06 — In Their Words
What the owner had to say.

"Before this, marketing was a guess. We were spending money, we just didn't really know what it was doing. Now I pull up one dashboard and I can tell you exactly how many calls our Google listing sent us last week and what they were worth. The phones ringing more is great, but honestly? Just trusting the numbers again is the bigger win for me."
